O’Herlihy’s (Bacon) Ltd. has been involved in the pig-meat business since 1961. We are a family-owned business operating under the Food Safety Authority guidelines in Ballincollig, Co. Cork, employing in excess of thirty people.

Since the earliest times, we in Ireland have taken pride in the quality of our livestock. Quality begins with a unique geography, an island in the most westerly corner of Europe and on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean.

Livestock are raised on green pastures that stretch from coast to coast and the country’s disease-free status is zealously guarded. These strengths, coupled with a modern processing industry form a unique blend of tradition and technology to make Ireland one of the largest net exporters in the northern hemisphere.

Livestock and meat producers constitute the largest single component of Ireland’s food industry. It is also a major export earner with over 40% of pig-meat output exported annually.

Irish meat has a reputation for quality. In today’s competitive world, quality is very important in winning and holding today’s customer. We at O’Herlihy’s know we are contributing in producing quality Irish pig-meat.
